Ramanathapuram District, born in Paramakudi Ayangara Family on 1954, November 7. Father - T.Sreenivasan and Mother - Rajalakshmi. Two Brothers, Charu Hassan and Chandra Hassan and a Sister Nalini.
Father, T.Sreenivasan's close friend called "Hassan" was there. Father's friendship with the friend Hassan, made him to join "Hassan" with the children's name. from there on Kamalam became the "Kamal Hassan".
