Review : "3 dots"

Small round marks in the life of three people wander aimlessly, that's what you could get the opinion after watching director Sugeeth's latest Malayalam movie "3 dots". Script won't live up to the expectations, may that be the minus points of this movie. Entertaining stuffs are there and the director tried to reproduce the elements of his first movie, but unfortunately it turns out an ordinary one.....

Story talks about the three persons Louis (Biju Menon), was an eccentric goon and even won't fear to kill a man, next one is Vishnu (Kunchako Boban) was the small time thief and the third person is Pappan (Prathap Pothen), who had deceived the bank where he was
working, to please a woman with whom he had an affair. All three of them are in jail for their wrongdoings and in this jail term, they get influenced by counselor Dr Isaac Samuel (Narain) and discuss their personal matters with each other, however by this time Vishnu, Louis and Pappan are now good friends and almost all three get released from the prison at the same time.

After the release, Vishnu and Louis stay together with Pappan at his apartment, while their effort to find on the job gets difficult with the tag of a jail prisoners. In this situation they decide to meet Dr Isaac Samuel for a help in their employment, while he suggest them to get self employed and there starts the day care center by Pappan and the old omni gets remodeled by Vishnu to start an ambulance service. there happens some love scenes between the school teacher Lakshmi (Janani Iyer) and Vishnu, meanwhile Louis gets mingled with Grace (Anjana Menon) a widow and Louis works in her driving school. As their life moving smoothly, a kids entrance in their space dissolve the suspense in the plot, which takes time to end.

With this kind of length, where narration looks awkward that could easily gave the feeling of a jaded one. Sugeeth and his team seems to have doesn't work upon the characters and the script by Rajesh Raghavan fails to offer the touch needed for this kind of theme, where first half looks convincing and second half goes down with the same ratio. Visuals by Faizal Ali caters the need of the frames, while V Saajan's editing wasn't look in place. Music by Vidyasagar is at the okay level.

As both Kunchako Boban and Biju Menon working together for while, so its easy for them to continue their performance. Kunchako Boban managed his character to support the Biju Menon's rough one and vice versa. Prathap Pothen is the latest entrant to work on and he managed some good shots with his rendering, on the other side Narain finds himself confident with the new type of character, while Janani Iyer and Anjana Menon done their usual stuffs. For the banner of Ordinary Films, B Sathish and Sugeeth are the producers of this malayalam movie "Ordinary".
